I‘m convinced that Kiwi News is a better product than Orb (Lens) at this point, yet they probably have several magnitudes more DAU. Why?

users are social animals and they gonna use products they see other people using Orb has that built in advantage of being king-made by the Lens elite upside for you, as long as the product is better it should win long-term (I'm also not a fan of these products that are restrictive to ONLY farcaster/lens/whatever)

Agreed, a big part somehow is the social status that comes from the team that builds the product or the early community etc. Obviously, Lens has also been around for much longer and they must have spent a lot on marketing because I saw their logo on every conference
