Listen If you are poor (<250k salary) And a rich person is giving you an opinion — trying to convince you of something You need to immediately discount that opinion. Straight away. Build this into your mental model These people do not live in the same world as you, they have genuinely no idea about anything. And to boot they have no loyalty to country like they used to. They are a global class loyal to themselves. They do not care we all have to eat glass as long as they get their “common sense stablecoin regulation” and lower tax burden Nothing about these people makes them more worthy. They are not smarter than you either. Nor did they work harder. All of those things have been fully decoupled from success It’s too late now but maybe if there’s a next time - let’s work on this 😊

I agree, as a nepo baby daughter of two high income earners I had a lot of access and that helped me work out my brain but there is a real disconnect in realities Pre COVID social media was bridging those realities but my friend and I were literally just lamenting how now social media and access is enabling close mindedness and it’s gotten so much worse since the pandemic. This has a broader impact beyond wealth disparity imo

If we didn't have social media I don't think a salary <250k would ever be considered poor. Not because wealth distribution would be any different, but because people would be blissfully ignorant. Are we better off knowing the injustice of the world and unable to change it, or would we have been happier being unaware of the reality of the ultra rich secretly running the country? I think the latter.

How sad is it that a 249k salary is still poor in 2025? This shit is for the birds.

This hits really hard. Nothing like getting life advice from someone whose toughest break was their third house being lakefront instead of beachfront. Really speaks to my $7 oat milk problems. Maybe it’s time we stop mistaking wealth for wisdom

I have mentioned this before but - I was of far worse health and less productive when I started to listen to successful tech people. I was somehow more productive and fit as fuck when I listened weird esoteric advice on image boards. I generally agree. Most of these rich people have no idea what they're talking about or lie for their own benefit.
