hot take: xAI will be the top consumer AI platform because it isn’t designed to address biased (better when you need accurate, unfiltered info) and has unique data access (X, SpaceX, Tesla) + consider how fast they built the supercluster + Elon is only living founder who sidequests successfully (and he’s petty)

Grok succumbs to plenty of those gay gotcha tests. And atm they are literally giving it away for free and trying to trick people into using it the same way meta does threads, with pointless notifications and easy to fat thumb “grok this” buttons. no one wants to use it. The other companies’ have everything they have plus much more. To me the argument for Grok is unique data access specifically spatial. Is that worth the valuation, unclear.

i wasn’t referring to political or social science-related questions when i said it isn’t designed to address biases; moreso talking about applications where the truest (most accurate wrt to data input) output is the best and true, idk if any of these AI companies are worth their valuations but time will tell

The assertion it is any more true than any other LLM strains credulity. I would need to see more than Elon’s word for this to believe it

People like to ask AIs culture war questions and complain the answers are too woke. I don’t care the AI opinion on Hitler She did not claim it is the “least regulated and filtered inference” she claimed it is the most accurate Here is Grok 2 vs other companies using common benchmarks https://x.ai/blog/grok-2 You can find someone that will do anything, that doesn’t make those things good. if it was competitive on its merits I wouldn’t be getting begged to use it via my X notifications. Google doesn’t beg me to use Gemini in Gmail

I want the best solution is all. There is no real evidence for your claim that it is “less biased”

we don’t have a solid benchmark for testing bias whether political or otherwise— but we can easily see entire conversations (election) removed from openai, the fear that ai is too smart from claude founders, and generally a lack of reinforced “safety” on grok so regardless of benchmarks which don’t give the avg person much insight— i think it’s fair to say grok is better at unfiltered/unbiased here is what grok wins at: - mostly unfiltered - new gpu technique - live social data access - casual social data training style generally speaking i use grok the least but nonetheless these are all considerations
