The most frustrating thing about the Kindle is it's a niche business for Amazon—and the publishers are not tech companies and conservative—so innovation is so much slower than it could be ifKindle was an independent company (like Daylight) with a federal law that would require portability of e-books across platforms (sort of like phone number portability).

I use it for e-book management. Cracking DRM, converting filetypes to ones compatible with Kindle, etc etc. 

I am an itinerant so rapidly realized I can't have so many physical books and still be able to move my life around.
