In physics, according to Albert Einstein's theory of general relativity, time is related to the fields of gravity and speed. Therefore, if one can travel at speeds close to the speed of light, or be in a very strong gravity, time may be significantly altered relative to relativity.

Gravitational time dilation occurs because objects with a lot of mass create a strong gravitational field. The gravitational field is really a curving of space and time
