Where it feels like we’re headed every time I hear about someone’s intern who can’t do anything without ChatGPT

Sometimes I don’t know what the real breadth and depth of usage is because I see interns like this but then also see people I know irl who either refuse out of principle or just have not touched any AI tools for anything. Completely different worlds

Really just an acceleration of the ways people have been bullshitting resumes since Google became a thing. Now there’s just a tool to do the googling and writing for you. Counterpoint/Silver Lining: The AI is not great yet so it ultimately still works as a learning tool to onboard more people to learn how to do things better themselves. More people learning = net positive 🤷‍♂️ The people that suck will continue to do so in more obvious ways (training AI to catch AI as someone said they were building here lol) so maybe we’ll be ok til the AGI hits

Sent this to my buddy who's a building contractor. He said he would add to this "tradesmen who don't know the trades" 😅

forgot students who cant study. People are outsourcing their thought process at this point. AI might make some things easier, but it is for sure making people stupider 💯
