Amazon’s Climate Pledge Fund has invested in X-energy, a company developing small modular nuclear reactors (SMRs). This investment aims to support the creation of over 5 gigawatts of carbon-free power in the U.S. by 2039, helping Amazon meet its growing energy needs, especially for data centers, while working towards its goal of net-zero emissions by 2040.
