What do you think about the timing of this cycle? Will it resemble previous cycles, about four years long? Or will ETFs and the end of high rates give us several years of uptrend, similar to what gold experienced after its ETF launch?

I don’t think it will be like gold etf. People don’t FOMO into gold but there will be a lot of amateurs crypto gamblers jumping in toward the end of the cycle, that’s why we have blow off tops that’s not sustainable. And a lot of vaporware and scams that will pop the bubble at some point

Exactly when that will happen, it’s hard to predict. But when people who don’t know anything about investing posting about their gains on social media, that’s when I’m selling everything

Yeah, that seems like a possible scenario. However, I'm wondering if institutions will close their positions in Bitcoin while the crowd is FOMOing, or perhaps this cycle will see Bitcoin not dropping 70-80%, with only altcoins performing similarly to before.

The hedge funds will take profit. They are just trading the cycle. They may even try to short if they think cycle topped and crash coming. The pension funds are longer term investors so less likely to sell (though some still might). With options, they can buy puts and sell calls to temporarily make their overall position delta neutral without selling their long shares. It will definitely be interesting to see what actually happens
