A. Tàpies 🖤♥️ He explores an abstract language, of the informal material and the combination of gestures with dense textures. Tàpies often used earthy colors, bright reds and graphic signs to evoke a spiritual and symbolic dimension. Furthermore, the calligraphic line and the apparent randomness of the forms are part of his poetics, where the material and the immaterial meet. I would define Gestural Abstraction as the line and the color seem to dialogue with the primordial chaos, creating a precarious balance between structure and disorder.
