Someone once told me how their alarm didn’t go off one morning, causing them to oversleep on a workday. They woke up in a panic, quickly threw on some clothes, and skipped breakfast to make up for lost time. By the time they got to the office, they were still half-asleep, but no one had noticed their late arrival. It turned out, they hadn’t been as late as they thought, and the day went by without any issues. They made a mental note to double-check the alarm before bed that night.
