for a long time, professionally, i counted myself as a serious person doing serious things which no doubt influenced my personality too

once i became a father much of that seriousness shed, in a healthy way, you can't be serious for long around a baby or toddler

now professionally i'm doing something that on the surface is the polar opposite of my previous work focus

but it also aligns so closely to how i am nowadays thanks to my son
