It only really seems like a few different web2 platforms are really utilizing web3 / blockchain gaming. For example, Epic Games has a section for Blockchain/NFT gaming now. Wen Steam adoption??

Web3 gaming is more than just NFTs and tokens. It’s about true ownership, interoperability, and new monetization models for developers. But the main priority should always be on the player experience! When the focus shifts from ‘crypto speculation’ to great games, the industry will explode. 🚀

Historically, Web3 gaming has had growing pains, we don't have to deny that. ❌ Clunky onboarding. ❌ Too much focus on speculation, TGE, or airdrops. ❌ Not enough fun. No reason to come back. The good news? That’s changing. 2025 is about better games, better UX, stronger partnerships, and real innovation. Lot's of amazing to expect this year 🎮

Been playing some @spellborne recently! Anytime else try this game? Very similar to a certain type of monster catching type game we all love & know... But with some farming elements as well. Been having lots of fun on it!

When it comes to Web3 gaming, what are some of the problems we are currently seeing? I'll start: TGE's are being forced as the main narrative for some games. Games should focus on quality first. Make something that the users can play for years to come.

One of the biggest challenges in Web3 gaming? Adoption. The solution? Simplicity. >Seamless wallet integrations. >Low transaction fees (thanks, /polygon). >Games that focus on fun, not just tokens. Web3 gaming needs to be player-first.
