Reflecting on NFTs' uniqueness and their parallels to real world, I believe incorporating evolution / degradation over time could enrich their value, simulating wear and tear. 

This isn't new: Axies, for instance, lose value with each breeding cycle, a feature that brings a layer of realism to digital ownership.

interesting idea... would love to touch upon more on this. but would this work better for certain use cases such as gaming/metaverse assets? how would it be implementable on artwork and music?
