Yes - exactly! The NFT can be bridged to multiple Superchain rollups. 
 We currently support /optimism and /base but in the near future will support additional networks like /zora.

The NFT is more "locked" than "burned" because the NFT can also be transferred back to Ethereum.

Fascinating! So can a single collection exist on multiple chains? Does bridging it from ETH to Base burn the ETH version so it won’t be double-counted?

Would have to understand your case a bit more.

But, yes, basically any ERC721 NFT collection currently on Ethereum can be migrated to /base but that still requires the gas fees of transferring the token to the bridge.

Yes my team (@jmb.eth + @vitormarthendal) developed the Based Bridge application. Not at Base, just big believers in the Superchain vision and contributing to the ecosystem.

It's legit legit. We use the /optimism developed bridging smart contracts, so everything is as "close to the metal" as possible. No third-party standards or vendor lock-in.

NFTs can bridge to the Superchain and the holders can benefit from lower transaction fees for trading the collections.

When bridging back to Ethereum from a Superchain rollup, it currently adheres to the standard 7 day challenge period, which is set by /optimism.

We recently got feedback we need to make that information more prominent in the UI, so will update shortly to make sure that's more clear.

Nice work! How does this work with regards to tokenIds (do they differ), contract addresses (I suspect they differ), and functionality beyond the 721 spec? I suspect it’s all dependent on the implementation?
