Getting into any extreme way of thinking and not allowing for grey areas is dangerous. Both sides are becoming more extreme, and that's not leaving space for most ppl who are somewhere in the middle.

That's encouraging to hear. I hope this is the path back to critical thinking, and personal awareness. I've seen perspectives on AI change, and good to know its having a more far-reaching effect than what I see from my bubble.

I actually see signs of hope. Recently there have been too many issues which cut within pre-established camps (random example: e/acc and AI safety, 3 years ago both comfortably part of "team gray"), which seems like it's confusing and reshuffling the tribes in a healthy way and opening minds.
