I'm pushing some of the Filecoin Data Portal datasets to Google Sheets. Feels weird, but already seen folks use them to dig and build their own visualizations! This is how the Filecoin Clients one looks like! https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/15xi39OheVJ-_WyI7sxwmvgMIVFkZN07NOYWLe5iKXnI

Another week, another small update on the Filecoin Daily Metrics Dune Dashboard! https://dune.com/kalen/filecoin-daily-metrics Since all is coming from the Filecoin Data Portal, I'm also publishing it as a static website on IPFS! https://filecoinpulse.davidgasquez.com/

Finished a post about the pattern I've been iterating on to build lean Open Data Portals. 🌐 The key ideas: - Modern open source tools and formats (DuckDB, Dagster, dbt, Parquet) - Version controlled declarative transformations - Build and Serve phases https://davidgasquez.com/modern-open-data-portals/

Development Containers (containers.dev) and GitHub Codespaces (github.com/features/codespaces) are not as popular as they should be. They are incredible for development workflows and makes my life so much easier. Specially as a Python developer.

What are some underrated and simple statistical techniques that can help folks graps "data" better? These two have been helpful in my experience: - Time Lagged Conversions to show conversion rates. - Process Behaviour Charts to understand variation.

Pushed a couple of new IPFS related features to the Filecoin Data Portal! ✨ - Latest datasets are now accesible via IPNS! No need to fetch the latest CID anymore - Website is now deployed to IPFS via fleek.xyz - Added "Request Data" button to the navbar https://filecoin-data-portal.on-fleek.app/

I think the replicator is what I need. https://github.com/farcasterxyz/hub-monorepo/blob/main/apps/replicator/ Will set that up and see if I can derive the data I need from it.

Say I want to build a network of all the Farcaster users. What would be the fastest way to get the data? Just created an account here and I know nothing about the protocol. Thinking about this as a fun challenge! πŸš€
