Crypto is the latest (maybe last) technology where you can make something truly transformative in your garage with your friends. AI, VR, AR, Biotech, etc, much more resource intensive and therefore heavily moated.

if we accept that our lives will only become more firmly situated in the digital world, then it’s our responsibility to build a more equitable system of distribution and exchange, one that encourages self-sovereignty and gives powers to users instead of platforms. this is uniquely possible with crypto rails.

Platforms and toolsets that can facilitate new ideas from a purely personal perspective. But, equitability - or the possibility of it through decentralisation and transparency. Unfortunately, I think the space is fueled by hyper-capitalism, and not ‘innovation is great’ but more ‘commodify the people’.
