Once you get off the subway, you find yourself in the very center of the human maelstrom - a crowd of joyful, festively dressed subjects of the Celestial Empire moves along the blocked pedestrian street, in the direction of the Waitan embankment.

DAY 20. SEOUL. It's an amazing feeling, friends, to return to the city you left a few weeks ago. Everything around you stays exactly the same, but you change yourself. The streets with brightly coloured signs over the shops no longer catch your eye in an attempt to draw you to the stalls of the previously unseen.

SORAKSAN - CHUNCHEON For the day: 132km A great day, two kilometres of vertical climbing! And not alone, but with an honourable escort in the person of a young lieutenant of the South Korean Air Force. Almost like North Korea, only you can do what you want - both on the road and with him!

DAY 16. SOKCHO Today I stayed in Sokcho to sleep, sort out my affairs and figure out where and how to go further. Sixty kilometers ahead is the border with North Korea, and along the sea, which has been so pleasing for the last few days.

POHANG - HUPO-MYEONG Per day: 101km Total: 1095km Today, with Korea finally starting to enjoy some decent climbs and some good side pictures, the road that looped through the industrial suburbs of Pohang in the morning led first to a lonely Starbucks on the edge of a seaside village and then to the Snow Crab coast.

Wondrous wonders of Korea - a fully automatic 24-hour coffee shop. Coffee costs the same as in supermarkets, books, wooden tables, thoughtful design, cleanliness. And video cameras. The most curious thing is that this is a small village, which is a hundred kilometers from Busan. Koreans are good.

A final selection of sketches from the streets of Haunde. There's a sand sculpture exhibition on the beach with a light show in the evening. And it's incredibly beautiful.

A selection of Haunde's sketches of faces and details. I didn't understand what people do here if you can't swim in the sea. The promenade itself is very short, and during the day I kept seeing the same people both on the promenade and in the neighboring market. They walk and eat, there is nothing else to do here.
