There's a lot of criticism about L2s taking value away from mainnet without contributing revenue/income except blob fees, transaction fees etc But all L2s rely on mainnet for security One parallel with the real world is potentially something like NATO or other types of defense alliances Its a collective action problem, where if each L2 commits a % share of revenue/TVL or some other metric as a security budget - and allocates it to organizations like @argotorg.eth - you have the potentially of a win-win situation @0xstark.eth @kaanuzdogan is this something being explored at EF or Argot?

I don't think this is something we can demand from L2s or people using L2s. Individuals and orgs are welcome to pledge donations to orgs like @argotorg or @protocolguild

NATO commitments are also voluntary pledges But having that as a basis for the security budget is something that L2s *might* be willing to get behind, esp. if one or two L2s can lead the way It would take a while to align everyone but it is perhaps one of the more sustainable funding options/directions going forward Is there someone I can chat to about this at Argot? I have a few ideas - also if easier happy to jot down notes in HackMD first
