so today in class, i was talking about the wonders of ancient egypt, and outta nowhere, my student chris blurts out, "mr. cross, did they have memes back then?" 😂 had to pause for a sec and think of hieroglyphics as the OG memes. the whole class cracked up, and honestly, it made my day. moments like these remind me why i love teaching so much. who knew ancient history could be this hilarious?
