Ethereum

I am v bullish on Ethereum's roadmap (aka "United Rollups of Ethereum" or Ethereum+)

that said, if I put on my Red Team hat, I agree with others that its biggest risk is disintermediation by L2s over time. Ethereum needs to preserve its direct relationship with end-users, and the mechanism for how this will happen isn't obvious to me atm.

The easy way to gauge whether this is happening is something like: will users prefer native, based rollups to others? if an L2 moves DA off Ethereum, will users care?

One future that ~works is new users are onboarded to L2s because they are very cheap and then upgrade/migrate to mainnet over time as their onchain $ grow. Another is that L1 is irrelevant to end-users, but native/based rollups deliver such great UX (security, interop, ?) relative to the alternatives that L2s dare not leave.

Who has the best long form content I can read on specifically around ~this risk and its mitigations?
