Java finches, spice finches, mejiros, bul buls, sparrows, all kinds. These are the unreleasable rescues. So, lots of them can't fly or have lost legs, but still happy little guys and girls. This is just the walk-in, you should see the front deck, there's more out back! 😂

My wife got into actually, she was always really into animal rescue. We started with cats, then dogs, then she started working with birds. Lots and lots of adventures along the way, helping trap cats to have them fixed in parks, helping nurse countless wild birds. Just a day in the life these days. Lots of experimentation and learning to get us where we are now.

You rescue finches and other birds?? How did you get into that? 😲 

That is awesome though! I've had birds all my life, but never more than 4 at a time (3 cockatiels and a cockatoo). I had budgies before my cockatiels when I was a kid. My cockatoo is the only bird I have now. She turned 29 in July. 

I always had parrot-like birds vs songbirds, though there was a bookstore where I grew up that I loved to go to because they had a HUGE flight cage in the middle of the store with a bunch of finches. They were so cute hopping around and "beep beep beep"ing.
