But doesn't the productivity of those assets matter? They heavily invested heavily in the production of rail, infra, cities, yes. But there is a shocking level of excess hidden in those numbers as municipal projects are left to crumble under all of that over capacity. 

So, I'm not sure these are as much as a mic drop as they would seem on the surface. China is indeed the manufacturing hub of the world, full stop. But then why are they experiencing a surge in unemployment among their most able bodied age groups?
