Second halving was focused on BTC and ETH and the emergence of smart contracts like crypto kitties. 3rd having was more diverse but the focus was still very much on BTC, ETH and the emergence of DeFi and NFTs. Use cases became much more a focus. But this halving is really diff…

This is my 4th halving. It feels diff every time. The first 3 halving were much more focused because there simply wasn’t that many projects or chains to follow. First halving was almost exclusively focused on BTC. e sense that there are so many projects, tokens and chains vying for attention.

I will forever remember the day I joined FC. It was the day of the Bitcoin halving. Love it here. Amazing place. Feels like when I first joined Twitter in 2008 walking around with Robert Scoble at SXSW. That same excitement

Around the 2016 halving was the first time I saw crypto kitties and was amazed that someone could create these amazing pixel art on chain. Look how far we’ve come!

Happy halving folks! I still remember the first halving in 2012. It wasn’t nearly as exciting. It’s been 12 years since I got into crypto and it feels like 120 years have passed!
