People talk about risk tolerance: 

Risk tolerance is ultimately spiritual imo - because curiosity is sort of like a love that is constantly in motion search of who you really are - so when you say you’re risk tolerant you’re really saying - how willing are you to love ideas; people; projects; at which depth?

yep, big reason why i tend to focus more on risk capacity over risk tolerance

tolerance shouldn’t be told to someone as what is the *right* level, but capacity is better understood by most ppl in my experience

capacity depends on preferred lifestyle, tolerance is more nuanced

i do find it interesting that capacity feels more barbell shaped, the ppl in the middle tend to have the least capacity (not yet financially independent, but often high lifestyle dependency)

Funny how the term gets used so clinically in our world, when in reality it’s probably the most intimate metric of all
