Airlines barely break even usually on business class or first class

They usually lose money on economy

These days they mostly make their money on premium economy and seat upgrades believe it or not

Now that the middle class doesn’t generate enough revenue, the upper middle class is the new middle class

Something went kinda wrong in our economy didn't it? Fully booked planes only make money on premium seats, stuff like WeWork never profitable to begin with etc.. 🤣

I always thought I was considered middle class, but a friend recently said I am not (based on my income) and it's true that I am at less than 50% of the area median income where I live. I have not lived in a LCOL area since I was a child.
