This isn't just a case of chatgpt's naming, but I am not a fan of this simplification of everything / make everything simple It feels tasteless, it makes things taste tasteless or odorless, like i'm eating slop. It slightly feels insulting to me as well, somehow there is an undertone of treating everyone as being stupid, they just won't get it. I don't know, there's a part of me that feels like the uniqueness and character of a product is destroyed so early in the process. I prefer chatgpt chatgpt > chat

I feel like somewhere, there is some ex-private equity whispering in the founder's ear saying "you have to buy chat<dot>com" its so much better, the sean parkers of the world. But here's the thing, Sean Parker was doing something interesting by saying they should keep it simple when others were not. Now, everyone is doing it, and its -- boring.

Sean Parker is not ex-PE guy, at all. But it's the ex-PE guy today, who watched Social Network and thought it was kinda dumb, that is saying this, and the founder is taking the advice seriously, because that's what you're supposed to do, right? wrong
