Have you noticed recently where ads will not advertise what they are selling but they pretend like they are an influencer that found this cool thing and they are telling you about it? 

I don’t like being sold things I don’t want, but this is an interesting development

Yeah feels related to randos who use big podcast microphones to feel important.
I think both are trends that will run their course as people adjust.
