Sometimes I read a book, or passage and it’s so good I have to stop and put it down It’s like a dog getting so excited about their treat that they jump around and bury the treat because they literally cannot handle it

David Foster Wallace does this for me at least once every 100 pages. Also Jenny Offill.

Happens to me as well — most recently with a non-fiction book that drew an unexpected connection that just blew my mind. I paused for the evening to sleep over it, and for the excitement of picking it up again the next day.
