Meditation, for me has been one of the highest ROI activities I’ve cultivated on and off, probably for the past decade

Agree 100%. If you're reading this and you're thinking "What's a thing that I could do that makes everything else in life just a tiny bit better?". The answer to that is meditation, imo. I believe that there is a large amount of people who could benefit first from exercising more, and secondly meditating. Please do these two things. Please please please.

"You should take 20 minutes to meditate each day. If you do not have 20 minutes, you should take 1 hour." tbh I haven't been able to make it a habit. Tried guided meditation with the most popular apps, but every time the guide spoke it threw me off. Had better luck just doing it myself

I started using the Waking Up app that was recommended by @wanderloots.eth and I have to say that it is super interesting. I have meditated before, but it's hard for me to commit to it every day, which I should. This app helps with that and I like the guy's soothing voice. He has a very interesting background too and it involves not just meditation exercises, but informational sessions too. I am on the last day of my free trial of 14 days and need to decide whether I keep it and pay. I'm leaning towards doing that. https://www.wakingup.com/

agree with that. when you can observe mental activity without getting caught up in it, peace prevails and new ideas emerge.
