I'm not a fan of fiction books.

Fiction relies on made-up characters, plots, and metaphors to explore aspects of reality and human nature.

I find it much more fun to learn the core ideas presented directly.

Statements like this guy's remind me that people can have wildly different tastes, and that's ok. Personally, I think you can sometimes explore ideas better through the lens of fiction. Imagine reading Jesus' Son by Denis Johnson and not feeling anything.
