You donโ€™t secrete it if you donโ€™t sleep point blank. You do secrete it if you sleep ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ circadian rhythm isnโ€™t the same for every single person โ€œVan Cauter, E., Leproult, R., & Plat, L. (2000). Age-related changes in slow wave sleep and REM sleep and relationship with growth hormone and cortisol levels in healthy men. JAMA, 284(7), 861-868. This study examined the relationship between sleep stages and hormone secretion, including HGH. Key findings included: 1. The majority of HGH secretion occurred during sleep, particularly during slow-wave (deep) sleep. 2. The largest HGH pulse typically occurred shortly after sleep onset. 3. There was a strong correlation between the amount of slow-wave sleep and the amount of HGH secreted. 4. Age-related decreases in slow-wave sleep were associated with decreased HGH secretion.โ€
