How likely is it that @dwr.eth will allow new users to upload videos? I hope @dwr.eth answer me. What is Dan’s reasoning behind this decision? I can think of two main reasons for this restriction: 1. Misuse by some existing users It’s possible that some long time users have misused the video upload feature for purposes outside the platform’s intended framework. But why should new users bear the cost of such misuse? This issue can be easily managed through intelligent monitoring, without the need to restrict access for the entire new user base. 2. Infrastructure costs Uploading videos, especially on decentralized platforms, is costly in terms of both storage and bandwidth. If the goal of this decision is to control infrastructure costs, this issue can also be resolved through a simple solution like a subscription plan for users who want access to this feature. With such approaches, it seems possible to manage costs effectively while also ensuring greater fairness in granting access to new users.

he answered this in an AMA, I will try to find the link. it is because of the legal liability they take on as a US Company when giving users the ability to upload videos at free will, so only a small amount of people can do it I think there used to be a 'power badge' that enabled this, I don't know what it is now
