after over a year of relentless shipping, reacting to endless requests, tight deadlines and what was happening around me, I've realized that a part of my brain gradually became numb. the constant pressure made me highly productive, but also prevented me from thinking creatively and seeing the bigger picture as I used to. not sure if this is a common experience, but regaining that mental clarity feels like moving with ease again after an intense training regime. like sama I also believe burnout doesn’t come from working too hard but from a lack of progress or momentum, in fact I never truly stopped working since I started @slice in 2020. however mental strain is real and without rest the brain cannot function properly. so founders, don't forget to rest and zoom out.

I love to be in the zone, outworking others, but also realized how some experienced guys get decent results with families & less time in front of the laptop. Sometimes might be due to doing more high impact things but I also attribute this to zooming out, (re-)thinking vs simply pushing through. Lifting analogy makes a lot of sense: You need rest too to grow. thx for sharing. 1000 $degen PS: I'm not arguing for a 40 hour week. Outworking is still possible.
