Who cares about data privacy for Ethereum? I want to find those people and follow them.

i genuinely believe warpcast has a shot at changing social media. i've been testing anything i could get my hands on since i was a teenager. back then, i was sold on the idea of having full control over my data. with age, though, i’ve become a little less idealistic. i still remember 2014, when ello.co came out. it made a lot of noise, and i wanted to believe. i was super active. some of my posts even went viral. it felt like it had potential. but then it pivoted into an artist-focused platform and quietly faded away. what i love about warpcast is how diverse the content is. dev talk, memes, art, tech, travel, it’s all here. and while the feed doesn’t feel as curated as twitter or instagram (maybe just not enough volume yet?), there’s something else: people are actually enjoying it. not chasing incentives. not pretending. just showing up and vibing. that's rare.

For those of us that are new here, what was the old era and how does it differentiate from the new era?

“What makes you guys willing to be the first humans to be fully analyzed and sequenced under encryption?” -Vishakh, founder of MonadicDNA There’s always a reason to be bullish on crypto’s potential if you know where to look. At EthDenver, I witnessed MonadicDNA, the world’s first encrypted genomic sequencing service, onboard its first cohort of users! Imagine 23andMe, but instead of you paying them to leak your data or simply sell it and keep all the profits, it’s fully encrypted and they pay you every time a researcher wants to privately compute on your genomic data. Here’s a video of their founder, Vishakh, interviewing the first two people to participate that day 👇

that any time you feel yourself getting into a routine and thinking “this is permanent,” that means it’s almost certainly going to change in some sort of way soon thereafter

This is me. I like to go on stages and rant about how your data should belong to you, not to governments or corporations. That’s one of the reasons I’m starting on my farcaster journey with @warpcast.

the first iteration of DeSci may have been a funding vehicle, but this second wave of DeSci products coming onto the market is democratizing access to the type of health insights only the 1% of the 1% could previously tap into, all while eliminating intermediaries and redirecting profits generated through health data back to the individuals providing it.

"oh nobody really cares about what companies do with their data" this is categorically false. more and more people are a) learning how companies have been collecting their data and b) what they've been doing with it. they're rightfully angry. and the backlash is only just starting. the time to bring the popcorn out is when this awareness breaks into the mainstream public consciousness. bet on technology that is focused on empowering the individual, not technology that is focused on extracting.
