What is important in a startup that most people ignore? 

What do people focus on a lot, but actually isn't that important?

Data. It’s needed but if used to make big decisions can quickly hit local maximum problems.

Often a crutch to avoid talking with customers.

Data is context poor, customers are context rich.

some nerds and corporate types often obsess because over data they have no intuition (built from talking with people, real exp.) or their org is dysfunctional enough that data is only way a decision can be made: “data said X 🤷🏻‍♂️”

Great one. 

Macro and micro are difficult to align, so it’s super important to talk and collect real feedback, especially at the very beginning.
