The Forgetful Actor: An actor lands a role in a big play, but he’s notorious for forgetting his lines. On opening night, he’s supposed to say, "My lady, your beauty lights up the kingdom!" Instead, he freezes, looks at the actress, and blurts, "My lady, you’re so bright, you could power a castle!" The audience chuckles, and the actress, quick on her feet, replies, "And your charm, sir, could short-circuit the whole court!" The play goes on, but in the next scene, he’s supposed to declare his love. Instead, he says, "I’d climb the highest mountain… or maybe just take the stairs for you."
