He’s worried about his priorities changing If your priorities don’t hold up to significant introspection (even drug assisted), maybe they’re not the right ones?

Besides, it's not like the ideas you come up with while altered can't be re-assessed once you're sober. It's a temporary alteration, not a pipe through the frontal lobe.
