I actually played on and off for a decade. But I haven’t touched it in the past few years once I hit a plateau skills-wise, started working in crypto and other life things. This is good encouragement for me to pick it back up though.

Quick question - I’m only just getting to the point where I can feel the “right” note to play next when improvising in standard tuning. Does shifting tunings help or hurt that feeling?

Good Q, I'll attempt a quick answer There is no right note, everything is contextual 😊 Standard tuning is a Swiss army knife, lots of options Open tuning is a trusty cast iron skillet, fewer options but really good at one thing... *Wide open resonance* Imo, that's the best way to hear a guitar speak
