i went to an online meditation retreat this weekend. enlightenment intensive is the modality. we worked with self inquiry dyads, all day long. very intense practice. think of it as a meditation practice, but the object of meditation is the eyes of the partner you have in front of you, and the truthfulness of what is arising in your own experience. each session lasts for 40 minutes, where you take turns to ask your partner their question for the retreat. mine was “tell me who you are”. we were 62 people, so i met all sorts of amazing stories and realities in front of me. it was pretty amazing. im more in awe towards the kaleidoscope of experiences that are running around the world as humans. i feel grateful for the way i have been opening doors and finding ways to deepen my practice of learning how to relate to life with my awareness anchored on the present moment. not sure about the next steps for me though. im taking a step back to look at where im at, and relating to that process with equanimity

i feel extremely grateful for the people that surround me, for my family, for my partner, for the baby that is growing inside her, for my family, for you, dear reader, as you are another expression of life being experienced as a human being. what we are experiencing here is the greatest gift of all, and everything that lies in between the actuality of that and the projections of the mind is an invitation to practice. there is no finish line. i entered the retreat with the mission to awaken. desperate for that experience to happen. and then i realized it was not about “me” it’s about US it’s all about us. about the connections that make us feel alive. and about using every interaction as a vehicle to bring more truth into ourselves thank you for being who you are

interesting experience; I’ve never been to meditation courses before (and very rarely online). Just being around people must make it a much deeper experience. Thanks for sharing.

are you interested in going? my first one was a vipassana retreat. i went without having any experience before and it transformed my relationship with the human experience from the inside out

I’d really love to go, and I feel like I need it too. But unfortunately, there aren’t any Vipassana retreats in my country.
