obvious but it's insane how valuable talking to customers is - not only does it clear up design decisions on tech side, but it also let's you know what they care about and how to approach messaging of your product

well I think this is precisely why it's beneficial. As a startup, you have to be able to adapt quickly and build things people want, not what you think they want

yup was recently, the startup is more B2B and started talking with a customer and the conversation made it implicitly clear what they care about, which differed from what we were prioritizing from an engineering standpoint
