My brother and I are embarking on a bit of a fall Jesus pilfimage, if you will. We're going to all the christian churches, in order of their creation, starting Sunday. First up: Catholic I've been to a catholic church exactly twice in my life, a wedding and a funeral. Can anyone provide some guidance? Can we do communion? Confession? Is there an offering plate that goes around? Thanks!

Hey @joely - only Catholics in a state of grace are supposed to receive communion at a Catholic mass but the priest is usually happy to give a blessing to anyone else. Confession is reserved to Catholics as well. There usually is a collection. Happy to get into the theology and ecclesiology if you're interested but that's the simple answer :)
