I think this is why ReFi/Regen projects have struggled. We still haven't seen the "use crypto to make the world a better place" narrative take off. We have this powerful set of tools including a global borderless coordination mechanism (ETH) yet we still chase memecoins. How do we use degen incentives for good.

really what we've tried to do w/ /vrbs /groundsdao and the protocol behind them sell tokens under a permissionless brand where the end isn't profit but proliferating the brand and funding builders

totally agree human nature I guess to spend hundreds of thousands of $ to buy jpg that has no other value or utility except social value (which is fleeting and value go poof) At least they looked cool for 5 minutes to the two people paying attention πŸ˜†

such a great question, Jon. I’ve recently been experimenting / learning more about memecoins to see what we can learn from them. we somehow need to harness speculation for good. how can we incentivise people to participate? OR, lean into it, create a memecoin & then utilise the treasury raised for impact use cases
