I grew up being told 2 things: "You talk too much" and "You are too loud" This made me grow up to be more reserved. Twist of irony comes along- I didn't get anywhere even close to successful in my career until I started talking a lot more again, loudly. I guess the moral is don't be afraid to speak up.
