Some theory: If X is invited to a meeting and Y is similar to X, then Y is invited to the meeting with p>>0; and if Z is in turn similar to Y, then so are they, and thus the meeting grows. Discomfort arises by the intransitivity of this similarity relation, while an all-hands is almost surely prevented (at the thermodynamic limit) by conflicting schedules.

they do it bc they think they have to do it. they will embrace LEAN Six Sigma and still be blind to their own inefficiencies. so lets have a meeting to figure out how to make this better. jajaja! imo its just classic traditional business thinking and managers think they need to do it bc everyone else is. its pretty simple! its not just companies with 250+. and we just call meeting something else like a "huddle" or "debrief". short but still a meeting that eats away at your own time to get shit done. but these shorter meeting are probably more effective.
