The safety vs eacc schism should not be underrated as a limit to how much SV tech can actually remain a single tribe.

I continue to wish for more balanced ways forward.

Raising funds as a nonprofit then going for-profit is wickedness of the highest order

I disagree, if part of those profit making sources flow back to the non profit for research.

How about raising a bunch of grant funding as an early stage climate tech company for instance. Then raise a ton of VC money thereafter?
