So it seems if we tag friends / credit artists who aren’t active daily and dont engage with the casts they’re tagged in our engagement will be badly affected. Is there a way around it?

no joelle, these are your friends, @v was only making this remark because of anew frame by @mvr that tagged everyone high SCV in a cast (regardless of you not knowing them) cath or monica etc would never report you , so you're totally safe tagging them!

the root cast isn't the whole picture: it's that tagging people who don't know you means they're more likely to report you as spam , it's not the algo itself checking if you follow the people you tag or they follow you TLDR; don't be spammy and you won't be reported as spam

I don’t think that’s the case. It’s more about annoying people by tagging them so they report your cast as spammy. It’s aimed at curbing engagement farming not artist/collector appreciation.

no it’s more that those tagged unwelcomely are highly likely to hit the “report” function (and likely did) tagging your inactive homies should have no effect algorithmically as far as I can tell.

In comments he said if they report you and report you a lot then the algo will consider you a spammer I don't think if you tag people a few times and not in a group-tag it'll be bad 🍖x50
