The Index

As a former journalist, I would be keen to work on a Farcaster native News project - but I don't think the Farcaster userbase in its current state would be interested in or support general news journalism, and I'm uninterested in doing purely crypto coverage.

I've decided to test this with /theindex 

It's a Farcaster channel dedicated to News aggregation via human curation

One post containing one news piece, with addn sources in each reply

The idea - that Farcaster needs more content channels that aren't crypto focused

Testing - whether Farcaster's audience wants News

100% Fact 0% Opinion.

It’s an interesting idea, but isn’t curation an act of expressing opinion?

Even if only giving facts, which facts you choose to provide change the narrative, and therefore reflect an opinion, even if that opinion is open to interpretation.

So how does /theindex grapple with this?

It’s the eternal and ongoing struggle of any news or editorial outlet. At the end of the day, the only way to grapple with it is to attempt objectivity and take on board user feedback.
