A “wrapper” establishes a dependency hierarchy, which is common across tech, academia, and high-velocity fields. The real question isn't the dependency itself, but the degree of it. Most blockchain products today are thin wrappers around base blockchain infrastructure (e.g., Ethereum, L2s, or specialized rollups), meaning the only added value is typically integration, UX improvements, or transaction abstraction.

We're simplifying the onboarding flows. Here is how user onboarding is evolving: 1. Wallets integrated in applications are inevitable. That's why app developers want to use embedded wallets. BUT, we need to break down these walls and make it simple for users to move from those initial siloed experiences to connected ecosystems. 2. Chains are owning more part of the stack. A unified wallets for ecosystems is the natural next step. Excited for what we'll revealed in the upcoming openfort.xyz releases.
