What are your favorite hidden gems in the city? I’m new to Chicago so any recommendations on your favorite spots would be awesome. These could be parks, bars, restaurants, etc.

Pilsen! 2nd Fridays art night: http://chicagoartsdistrict.org/secondfridays_main.asp Skylark is one of my fave bars. La Reserva for burritos. Canton Regio is a great Mexican steakhouse type place. Tack Room has good music Friday nights (part of Thalia Hall, with other good bars, restaurants, and a concert venue).
